FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Primary responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of industrial packaging equipment at customer manufacturing and distribution facilities. Our customers vary but the largest sector is food and beverage manufacturing facilities.
This job is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on, problem-solving responsibilities. This is NOT for those who prefer to spend their time at a desk. This job requires technicians who are self-driven, who welcome problem-solving opportunities, and who are responsive to customers' needs. Being able to work with people is a must, along with organizational skills and the ability to think on their feet. Overnight travel is required (50%) and it can vary greatly from time to time. Some projects/assignments may require air travel and multiple days on site.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, diagnose, audit and service industrial packaging equipment in manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct training on equipment, its capabilities and operation to the customer; responds to all questions in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
- Accurately completes all necessary paperwork including but not limited to work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
- Safely operates assigned company vehicle and ensures that it is maintained according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- When on call, ensures availability by telephone or pager contact at all times for service calls.
- Self-schedule projects and service calls.
- Assist sales team on various sales projects and demonstrations; Promote service contracts and additional technical services
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge on mechanical and electrical systems
- PLC Programming encouraged
- 2+ Years Technical and/or Manufacturing experience
- Ability to travel (over-night when required)
- Valid drivers License
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Military experience welcomed
